En route to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, my husband and I ate again at this Subway in Dillon, South Carolina (see map). We shared a quite good 12-inch Ham on Wheat. The bread was better than the last time we were there, though the crust was still a little crumbly. While we were there, several big trays of just-baked bread were set uncovered on the short end of the L-shaped ordering counter to cool.
We've been told that the official Subway policy is that bread be baked every four hours. We've also been told that this isn't always the case. I certainly don't know the baking schedule of particular Subway stores.
The Dillon staff was nice enough. Like last time, the unisex restroom could have been tidier.
